NRA BASIC RIFLE SHOOTING COURSE

The NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely. You will learn rules for safe rifle handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; and continued opportunities for skill development. The course is a beginner course and designed to provide the novice student with greater confidence in handling firearms. 

COST:  $150 includes range fees and all materials.  

CLASS LENGHT:  9 hours including a one hour break for lunch.

STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE:

• The NRA Guide to the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook
• NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure
• NRA Basic Firearm Training Program brochure
• NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet
• NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course Student Examination
• Receive a course completion certificate

WHAT TO BRING:

• Rifle:  If you own a rifle please bring it. If not one will be provided for use during the range time. Your rifle must be in good working order. 
• Ammo:  50cartridges minimum required. PLEASE LEAVE AMMO IN CAR IT CAN NOT COME INTO THE CLASSROOM.  
• Protection:  Prescription glasses, sun or shooting glasses are required, along with hearing protection.   

*Instructors will provide coffee, water and granola bars in the basic classes held at the range, but outside food and drink is okay to bring into classrooms.
